Google has quietly released a new unique experiment called Notes on Google Search. I think it’s significant. Because it allows you to add your knowledge to Google’s search results. Let me explain. For example, you go in and search for the word “Bible verses on faith”, and you see certain results. Under each (search) result, you will see a button called ‘Add a note’. For example, if you see a result from Bible Hub, you can click on ‘Add a note’ and you can add your own knowledge to that verse! You can say this is what the verse says, this is how it relates to faith and so on. Next time, if somebody comes and searches the same keyword, and if this result shows up, under that result, they will not only see ‘Add a note’, they will also see 20 or 50 different notes that other people have added to that search result. I like the way Google is thinking about it, and I think it’s going to enhance the search process in the long run.
