Amazon has partnered with Meta to enable in app purchases within Facebook or Instagram. Earlier when you saw a product ad while you’re browsing within Facebook or Instagram, you looked at it, you selected the product and you click on the button, it took you to Amazon website or the Amazon app. Now the change is, everything will happen within Instagram. So you just select the product, you click on it, you can finish the entire purchase cycle including checkout and payments within the app. That is the partnership that they have brought in place. And the announcement says “customers in the US will be able to see real time pricing, prime eligibility, delivery estimates, and product details on select Amazon product ads in Facebook and Instagram as part of the new experience.”
