WhatsApp has announced that they are adding a couple of optional security features inside WhatsApp that makes ‘WhatsApp Calling’ more secure. If you’re a WhatsApp user, you know that calling is a big function that many people have started using, especially because international contact has become so simple. With just a tap of a button, you can reach out to anybody around the world on WhatsApp with ease. And the call qualities have been getting better and better. They are releasing two features. First is silence unknown callers, which is a new setting on WhatsApp that not only quiets annoying calls, but also blocks sophisticated cyber attacks. The second feature is called protect IP address in calls, which is also a new setting inside WhatsApp that helps you hide your location from other parties that are on the call.
