🗞️ News 1: Microsoft Teams Up with Mistral AI to Unveil ‘Mistral Large’ Model

Mistral AI, a highly valued and acclaimed AI company, revealed that they are launching a new flagship model called Mistral Large, which is a large language model. They also revealed their partnership with Microsoft. And the first distribution platform for this model will be Azure. Mistral AI is one of the leading companies in the AI field, with high ratings and reviews from both technical experts and users of their models. The Mistral Large model that they introduced is natively multilingual. So it can “speak English, French, Spanish, German, Italian fluently, with a subtle understanding of grammar and cultural context.” It seems to have accurate information skills with 32k tokens and can also call functions natively.

🗞️ News 2: Android Releases New Features in Maps, Docs, Auto, Images, Health

Android has unveiled several new features across different products such as maps, auto, health, images, and docs. One of them is Android Auto, which now has AI integrated into it. With AI, you can get a summary of your messages while driving and also do some smart actions within the Android Auto system during your trip. Another feature is the improved screen reader for Lens in maps. You can use your phone camera and point it at your surroundings wherever you are and it will use the talkback feature to give you or speak to you about various details of that place. Lastly, my favorite feature is the markup feature in Google Docs. I think this is the feature that I will use a lot, and I’m sure it will also be useful for you as a church or ministry.

🗞️ News 3: LinkedIn Releases New AI-Powered Features for its Recruiter HR Platform

LinkedIn has introduced new AI based features to help recruiters on their platform hire more effectively. Your HR team can now use AI to enhance candidate discovery. They can reach out to the right candidates when they post about the vacancy, etc. And they can also save time in the hiring process since notification and messaging are all going to be AI based from now on. The announcement says “AI assisted search and projects will enable you to enter your hiring goals in your own words and ‘Recruiter’ will automatically create projects and search filters with suggestions on how to improve your search results”. So it’s similar to text prompting, but for a hiring purpose. Besides this, messaging, notifications, and also recruitment reporting are getting various AI based features. 🗞️ News 4: YouTube Expands Access of ‘Create’ Video Editing App to New Regions

YouTube has revealed that they are making their new powerful video editing app called YouTube Create available in more places. Some of the new locations are Australia, Brazil, and others, and we will provide a link to the full list of countries in the show notes. YouTube Create app is similar to CapCut, which is a popular app by TikTok, as you all know, and YouTube is making their own version of CapCut. Along with this reveal, they have also showcased some of the best features of the app, such as audio cleanup, which removes background noise, and that can be very useful, especially when you’re filming with your phone. And auto captions in English and other languages like Spanish and Hindi. And filters and effects, which are expected. Access to direct publishing on YouTube. So you can easily publish to YouTube, and you can add royalty-free images and sound effects and music.

🗞️ News 5: Adobe Announces Project ‘GenAI Control’ for Music Generation & Editing

Adobe has revealed an experimental generative AI tool that can create and modify music using text prompts. This project is called Music Gen AI Control. And this tool is currently available in Adobe’s lab section. The reason I wanted to share this with you is not that we don’t have any AI tool that can create music, but what is special about Adobe’s tool is how it works with the editing workflow. So you can not only create music, but also edit it using text prompts. You can easily make changes, you can make loops, you can do various things. All of which could be very helpful, especially in a ministry or nonprofit video editing setting. Or even in one of your worship music projects. Share this information with your sound engineering, and also your worship team.
